MotoGP CATALUNYA 2024

In addition to the three standard championships of the MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3, the MotoE electric motorcycle series is also being run as part of the Catalunya MotoGP weekend.

Always go early, especially on Sundays. You can find the race weekend programme here.

Motorsport is very noisy, but earplugs are not compulsory. However, it is recommended that you bring them along.  If you are taking children to the circuit, make sure they have hearing protection!

CIRCUIT DE CATALUNYA

The entry requirements for the Spanish Grand Prix are quite lenient, so you can bring in food and drink without restriction. With one exception - alcoholic drinks. You can't even buy them at the circuit, only non-alcoholic beer. For a full list of prohibited and permitted items, click here.

Of course, you can bring flags, banners and other items to support your favourite rider. Just make sure your gear doesn't obstruct the view of other spectators. Pyrotechnics are not allowed on the circuit, for a full list of items that can be taken onto the circuit click here.

You can have umbrellas or parasols in the natural grandstands, but tents or shelters are not allowed.

Yes, but keep it on your mobile phone and don't rely on downloading it from your email. Mobile phone coverage can be poor during the race. However, we recommend that you print out your ticket.

If you have a ticket for the grandstand, you can access it through the appropriate entrance. See the circuit map. You can also enter the general admission area, which includes the connecting roads between the grandstands. Seat tickets are reserved seats.

Yes, just like a credit card. The circuit does not have a cashless system. You can also pay by card or cash in the car parks.

Yes, but only for personal and private, non-commercial use. Professional cameras are not allowed. Drones of any kind are strictly prohibited. The use of a drone may be considered a criminal offence by the local police!

No, pets are not allowed at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Yes, there is good mobile phone coverage at the circuit, but it can be very busy, especially on Sundays.

PRACTICAL

You can find an overview here.

There is a shuttle service from Montmeló train station. The car parks are quite close to the ring road, there is no transport and you can easily walk there. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the station. You can find all the information about parking here and about transport to the circuit here.

Check out accommodation in Barcelona or on the Costa Brava. There you'll find entire apartment blocks that are not used by summer guests during the Spanish Grand Prix. Ideal for larger groups! For more information on accommodation click here.
